1. Who we are

A2D Sound ("we", "us", "our") is a brand of AYA Labs, a company registered in Israel. You can contact us at support@a2dsound.com or via our Contact form.

2. What we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Account data: name, email, password (hashed), country.

  • Order data: purchases, license keys, invoices, billing country (collected and processed by Lemon Squeezy on our behalf).

  • Support data: information you submit via support or contact forms.

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring URL.

  • Plugin licensing data: when you activate, validate, or deactivate a plugin license, the plugin sends your license key and a machine identifier (a value derived from your computer's hardware, not your name) to Lemon Squeezy. When you start a free trial, the plugin sends the machine identifier to our server so we can record one trial per machine. Once a day the plugin asks our server for a small version file to check for updates; that request carries no license data, but our server logs the IP address as any web server does. The plugin never sends your audio, your projects, or their names.

  • Marketing data: newsletter subscription status and preferences (only if you opt in).

We do not store your full credit card or bank details. All payment information is processed directly by Lemon Squeezy.

3. How we use your information

We process your data to:

  • Create and manage your account.

  • Deliver the plugins, license keys, and downloads you purchase.

  • Enforce license activation limits and the one-free-trial-per-machine rule.

  • Provide customer support.

  • Send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, license details, password resets).

  • Send marketing emails (only with your consent; you can unsubscribe at any time).

  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

  • Comply with legal obligations under Israeli, EU, and other applicable laws.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • Contract - to deliver the plugins and services you purchase.

  • Consent - for marketing emails and non-essential cookies.

  • Legitimate interests - to protect against fraud and improve the site.

  • Legal obligation - to retain tax and accounting records.

5. Sharing your information

We share data only with the service providers we need to operate:

  • Lemon Squeezy - payments, tax handling (Merchant of Record), license generation, and order delivery.

  • Newsletter provider - email marketing (when chosen).

  • Analytics provider - anonymized usage analytics.

  • Hosting provider - Vercel.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

Your data may be processed outside Israel and the EU (for example, in the United States). Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

7. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. We retain order and tax records for 7 years as required by Israeli tax law. Support tickets are kept for 3 years. Trial records (machine identifier and trial dates) are kept for as long as needed to enforce the one-trial-per-machine rule. Server logs from plugin update checks are kept only briefly for security and troubleshooting.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your data.

  • Object to or restrict processing.

  • Data portability.

  • Withdraw consent at any time.

  • Lodge a complaint with the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or your local EU data protection authority.

To exercise any right, email us at support@a2dsound.com.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls) to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information.

10. Children

A2D Sound is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email.
